School Announcements
We are thrilled to begin a new school year here at the Maywood Campus of the SBJC! Our staff particpated in the start of year training and have begun the process of getting back to work with your children.
Our philosophy here remains unchanged -- Provide a high quality education via well-trained staff in a comfortable, nurturing environment for your early childhood student. All of our curriculum remains aligned to the Core Curriculum Content Standards and we push each child to their potential to access those standards to the best of their ability. Literacy development is a core area of focus for all of our students, including those in preschool.
Our approach to addressing challenging behavior remains as well. We believe in the use of research-based, positive behavior supports to modify behavior and will continue to use positive reinforcement in the teaching of new, appropriate behaviors.
Please know that we value collaboration. We strive to work closely with the families of our students and their child study teams. Please do not hesitate to contact me and the staff at any time should you like to discuss your child's education. You are a key player in the process!
